So, what have we been up to in the KG Community during lockdown?

Miss Day recently completed a 130 Mile Cycle Challenge as part of a group - a distance equivalent to that from Loughborough University to their London Campus - to raise money for the Coronavirus Student Hardship Fund. Over £2,600 raised. Congratulations Miss Day!

Can you spot her in the distance?

The Food Technology Team launched a rainbow-food competition this month. If anyone is interested in entering - individually or as a team effort with their family - then get in touch with Mrs Ringrose, who is looking to award prizes for a staff winner as well as a student.

So, get your aprons on and forward photos by email to her by 30th June 2020.

Here are some of the fabulous entries so far:

400

Mrs Schinagl has also been out on her bike. Accompanied by her daugher, she embarked on a 26 km Cycle Ride (which turned out to be 31km!) for the National 2.6 Challenge. She also baked 26 cakes with her Grandaughter. Well done Mrs Schinagl!

In another 2.6 Challenge, Ms Anderson and her daughter rowed 26 km in support of Autism East Midlands.

Whilst Miss Garner has been combining her love of origami with her love of Jurassic Beasts

And - with a little help from a student in Year 8 - created these magnificent structures!
