Smallpiece Trust - Year 8 to 12 Opportunity to experience STEM at University

The Smallpeice Trust is an organisation that works with Universities to offer students a University experience for a variety of STEM subjects. It is aimed at students from Year 8 to 12 and covers courses including; Aerospace, Biomedical science, Engineering, Robotics, Game design, Cyber security and Physics.

There are some family events that are free and others include a multi-day residential stay at a University that incur a cost.

Courses are available from April to August and you must apply to gain a place.

EDT - Head Start university taster courses for students aged 16-17 in Year 12.

EDT run university taster courses for students aged 16-17 in Year 12 who have an interest in creativity, problem solving, & STEM subjects for those who want to look at the world, play a part to resolve critical issues to help our environment & create a better world. The courses are designed to increase confidence, help students make well informed decisions about their future & show STEM career paths to be accessible & exciting.

Headstart courses range from 3-5 days.

Please note these opportunities are outside of the normal school system and any costs must be borne by the students or their families.
