The trust operates a single selective academy called Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School which was founded in 1910 and was granted Academy status in August 2012. It is situated in the market town of Grantham for students aged 11 to 18 serving the local area and attracting students from Lincolnshire and further afield, being close to the borders of Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. It has a student net capacity of 1,200 and a reported roll of 1,203 in the official school census in October 2022, with around 310 in the Sixth Form.

The academy trust is a company limited by guarantee and an exempt charity. The charitable company's memorandum and articles of association are the primary governing documents of the academy trust.
 
The trustees of Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School are also the directors of the charitable company for the purposes of company law. The charitable company is known as Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School Academy Trust.
