Clarification of our Admission Criteria for September 2023

The criteria for admission to the Sixth Form for all students is as follows:

• Passes at grade 4 or above in English Language (not English Literature) and Mathematics
• At least 6 GCSE passes at Grade 5 to 9
• A Grade 6 or above in the subjects the student wishes to study at Advanced level or in any prerequisite subjects

Ideally applications to join our sixth form should be received by us before February half term each year for the following September. This should ensure that an applicant is able to access all their four first choice subject options provided they fit into our timetable. Applications submitted after this time will still be considered but it may be the case that some A level subject combinations may no longer be available. Please note that if you are currently studying with us in Year 11 you do not need to complete the application form.
