A Feast for the Senses
As winners of the Department for Education School Food Achievement Award (Secondary) at the 2015 LACA Awards last summer, a group of students were invited to spend a day at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, in Oxford; the luxury hotel-restaurant run by Raymond Blanc.
Our students were given a privileged tour of Le Manoir's kitchens, gardens and bedrooms and even met the world renowned chef himself.
Talking to the girls about food, Raymond Blanc told the girls to "be curious, be passionate and be ambitious."
The restaurant boasts two Michelin stars, and has seen many famous chefs both work and hone their culinary skills within its kitchens. Most notable amongst these has been Heston Blumenthal, Paul Heathcote and Marco Pierre White.
