Who Are We?

The PTFA (Parent Teachers and Friends Association) exists to raise funds for the extra in School life but also to arrange social events for parents and staff. It meets once a term to discuss upcoming events and grants. All parents and teachers are welcome to these meetings.

How can I help?

We hold regular bi-termly committee meetings at the school.These meetings are held at 7.00pm in the Library, just off Old Hall. The PTFA is always looking for new members to help provide support for the many events provided for our girls at KGGS.So, why not come along and join us!

How to help without lifting a finger

By simply following the hyperlink below you can purchase goods from over 2,000 of the UK’s best-known retailers, including Amazon, Next, Argos, John Lewis and HMV. Whenever you shop, up to 15% from every purchase can be donated to the school.

Recent Achievements

Apart from funding half the cost of the lease of the school minibus (£3,000), we have been able provide protective flooring for the Old Gym and given £2-3000 to various refurbishment programmes around the school. We also support various extra-curricular events such as “Rock Challenge”, “Young Enterprise” and the School Play.

Nearly New Uniform

If you have any items of “nearly new uniform” that you would like to donate to the school just leave a note stating your name, contact details at the School Office, stating whether you wish to donate half or all the money made on any sales to the PTFA.

Helpers

We also run a register of volunteer helpers who are called upon occasionally to help with teas at a Parent’s Evenings, concerts, or a School Disco. If you would like to join this register, contact the number below.
